Libby's 5!!!!

We have made it thru 4 birthday parties, that means cake, food, swimming and just having a great time!! Libby woke up the day before she turned 5 and asked me mom am I 5 this day? I told her no not yet, she seemed a little disapointed because she's been waiting for this day a whole yr!! I did get to have her birthday off of work so I had a special day planned for her! She ended up coming into my bed on the eve of her birthday, so we slept in and when her little eyes opened I greeted her with a song of happy birthday, her face lit up...a memory I will hold forever! She told me she felt like she was 5 today! So we all got ready and dropped Piper off at daycare, then libs and I were off to Mcdonalds for breakfast! After breakfast we hit up the hotel and went swimming! We then got to go home for just a little unwind time then we were off to meet dad for quiznos(libby's favorite place to eat!) After that I dropped her off at preschool and I was off to get everything else ready for the evening!! After Lib's was done with preschool she went to g'ma and g'pa's house, so Josh and I decided to surprise her there with her 4 wheeler and new moto cross helmet!! We had her open her helmet in the house and told her the rest of the gift was outside but she needed to wait until it was ready! She was soo excited and could hardly contain herself! We walked her out(with her new helmet on)and she froze..put her hands under her helmet and over her mouth and screamed awwwwww a four wheeler...for me!!! She was STOKED!!!! She hopped right on it and couldnt wait to give er a whirl!! The first thing she asked Josh was how we jumped it!! So we then had to drive home with the four wheeler trailered, and Libby had to wear her helmet in the car the whole waaay home!! We got home and she had her favorite supper..brats, corn, bread and oreo pudding cake for desert!! So needless to say her fifth birthday was perfect!! At the end of the wk she had her friends birthday and that went great it was her very first one and she wanted to go swimming so thats what we did I picked the girls up at preschool her and 3 friends and they swam for a couple hours then had cupcakes! So now we are onto saturday, my mom decided to take libby for the day so I could get ready for the fam party and Kim took Piper, so Josh and I were able to get everything accomplished!! I really wanted to do a topsy turvy cake and libby wanted tinkerbell so thats what I did!! So that evening mom and dad brought libby home after a day of home depot work shop..and she managed to talk gma into quiznos for lunch! So she actually fell asleep on the way home..but we woke her up and once she saw her cake and lit up once again and was ready to party!! She got some great gifts and had a great time!! On sunday we had another party to go for..but this time it was a superbowl party at my brothers house, so it was fun!! So by Monday she was shot!! She was supposed to have dance but fell asleep on the way there so we decided to skip it and have a veg night at home! So from there we had a regular wk, waiting for saturday to come so we could go to the waterpark hotel with Josh's side and celebrate birthdays some more!! So now it's Sunday and here I write as the girls play and battle it out..both extremely wore out but dont want to give up just yet! They had a blast swimming, all you heard all wknd from Piper was NO I DO IT!! She went down the little and big water slides by herself and played be herself, she had a BLAST! She even was going down the slides backwards on her belly..little too cocky for her own good!! Libby has become quite the swimmer as well she was going down the slides all on her own she would strap on her life jacket and off she would go! She can swim under water really well too!! They were both soo wiped out on the way home that we didnt even leave rochester and they both were OUT!! So now we have a few weeks off to catch up, then we get busy again!! As for the girls where they are learning and development wise..Libby can identify all the letters and is starting to understand what some words are, her counting is excellent!! Piper can identify all body parts, most animal sounds, know how to mother her babies really well, and is 70% potty trained! So they are literally growing up before my eyes!! I am going to post a lot of pictures so ENJOY!!!

Whats not to love!

We Got Some Snow!

Wohoo!! We FINALLY got some snow!! We got about 4 1/2 inches of snow..it's a start, we're itching to get to some snowmobiling in!! It's 30 degress out now so we took the family out and went sledding,Libby kept saying oh man this is soo awesome, wow that was awesome!! Piper liked it a couple of times, after that she liked to watch her sister go down the hill! I think her not being very mobile annoyed her!! She has gotten very independant this last wk, We call her the NO I DO IT girl..ciz thats the only thing you ever hear her say now!! As I am writing this the girls are playing makeup I figure no harm done, we are hunkered down for the day anyways and they will get a bath anyhow! So let them paint away! Libs has really gotten into being a little fashionista..she wants skirts/dresses/makeup/tights/and pretty shoes...everything her mother isnt!! She still cant wait for her birthday..she keeps saying for my party it's going to be soo much fun, and Aunt Kimmy is getting her the best present EVER! Anyhow everything else is going pretty good, Josh was Diagnosed with type 1 diabetes about 2 wks ago, for a yr now we were under the impression and told he was type 2, so when his blood sugars and A1C levels kept getting higher, and his dr. kept being stern on him about not following his diet, we decided to see a specialist. I am not kidding or exaggerating when I say the specialist literally walked in the door and before he even sat down he introduced himself and said I think You have type one diabetes..we were baffled, but then he went into explaining it and discribed the honeymoon period of being diagnosed as type 2 and the meds working for about a yr, then it eventually falls apart, I could go into more description on here, but I'll save some time..he ordered a bloodtest to verify his type 1 diagnosis(yes theres a test for this and why his general dr didnt do this I dont know why..will we ever go back to his general dr. I dont know!) but yes the test came back positive and he his now taking insulin and watching his carbs, its been a huge adjustment but it's finally coming around and he his feeling waay better, and hopefully in 6 mos he can get a pump and that will mean less shots!! So I am hopefull for a cure!! It was hard to see him go thru all of this, but on the positive side we have an answer and hes feeling better!

Warm Weather in January?

My title says it all! We have been having some really odd weather lately..no so temps in the 50's? Our snowmobiles have yet to leave the warmth of the shed! It's bittersweet to me really, being able to take your kids out without freezing to the bone, pushing them on the tire swing, having a bonfire..it's all pretty nice..but I gotta say I'm missing my trip to Garrison and snowmobiling for the weekend! The girls are keeping us busy as usual, Piper now knows all her animal sounds! She's starting the whole process of potty training now, and shes doing pretty well!! My whole goal is to have potty training done by summer? That would be AWESOME!!! She's still a lil monster, she's into everything, very strong will powered lil girl! She loves watching her older sister do things,then give things a whirl herself! She's got a little sense of humor that I find hilarious! She will break out into a song and dance anywhere anytime! As for libby lynn, she's grown up to quite the smart little girl! She can spell all of our names on her own, she can spell the word love,hugs, and she is able to identify all the letters! Her big thing is her 5th birthday coming up, shes been planning now for a couple months! She went ahead and told all her friends at school she was having a party, and they were going to go swimming, so I had a mom asking me what the plan was! All her little friends are pretty stoked! She is going to have three of her friends join her after school and go swimming for a couple hours! She is super duper excited for this! As for family party for my side we will have a get together here at the house and she wants pizza, and this oreo pudding cake, ANNND her tinkerbell cake! This little miss is my party,event planner she LOVES get togethers, and going places, she is my social butterfly! So we have been keeping busy, I just finished making a cake for a lakemills event.(i did a basketball with the bulldogs label on the front and then all the boys names and numbers on it!) they had a contest for the cakes, and mine actually won best of show, and then it was auctioned off and it got 125.00$ that was pretty awesome to hear!! Christmas!

Christmas has came and gone! It amazes me how long it seems to take to get here..but then the 23rd gets here and before you know it, its the 26th! As I am writing this the girls and Josh are snuggled in watching Bambi(Pipers xmas gift), and of course munching on some hoiday popcorn! The girls had a great christmas, Libby got new Ballerina tennis shoes, glittery winter boots, clothes, barbies, crafty things,kung fu panda, 2 DS games, Tinkerbell doll, hungry hippo game, and a few other board games, she got a mega thing of markers, pj's, and I am sure I am missing a few more things! Right before christmas we got a call letting us know that she had won the coloring contest at my dads bank..which resulted in a 20 dollar visa gift card! She was pretty excited to have her OWN credit card! So needless to say we went to walmart today and she bought a zoo keeper ds game! As for Piper Ann she recieved lots of little people, boots,shoes,clothes,babies,and baby acessories! She is baby CRAZY!!!! She loved opening gifts this yr! We had a busy busy day on christmas, we started out at home opening our gifts then went to my mom and dads than we all came home and took a little nap, then it was off to Josh's side for some more fun! Now it's the 26th and were all getting ready to go back to work to start the routine over! Libby had quickly reminded me its her birthday coming up next!!!

Snow is here!!

Thanksgiving has came and gone, and now we have 2 little girls who can not wait for santa...well one especially!! Thanksgiving was nice and quiet and we still managed to eat more than enough!! Libby had just started to eat very little on thanksgiving day but on Friday when we celebrated for Josh's side she ate quite a bit more! The tonsil removal was really rough on her..she's such a trooper with all that type of stuff..but this hit her hard! She rarely complained but her eyes gave her away everytime! She never really ate anything for 8 days and we had to take her back in twice due to high fevers and dehydration....but now being 3wks past she's completely healed!!! I gotta say the eye opening experience to this whole thing was when we were sitting at the table and I had put some lunch in the microwave to heat up and I went and sat with libby at the table..she looked at me and said mom whats that noise..I didnt know what she was talking about so I asked her what sound..she says to me you know that humming noise..it hit me..she was talking about the microwave..she had just heard the microwave for the first time!! My baby can actually hear really well again!!! So even tho we had to go thru hell with the recovery of this surgery.. it was WELL worth it, Lib's' hearing is back to 100%!! So now that we have that under our belts..we look forwards to christmas and all the excitement it brings! We already decorated the whole house in xmas things, got our tree and both the girls helped and loved it!! They have only broke one bulb..2 stocking holders so far, so all in all were having a great time! We thought maybe we were going to be having a brown christmas but after lastnight we were pleasanlty surprised with 4-6 inches of snow! The girls and I already went out and played in it, they had a blast making snow angels and just walking around in it!
